Correction to yesterday's weekly puzzle

Whoops, I made a mistake.

So, I made a mistake.

The weekly puzzle “Registered Nurse” that was featured yesterday was in fact not solvable without guessing. I did re-issue the Sunday puzzle about halfway through the day, though if you happened to have downloaded the unsolvable puzzle, you’re not able to download the reissused one right now. Despite having solvability checks running on all puzzle submissions, this one got through somehow. I’m sorry about that. In my weekly newsletter, I talked about the importance of solvability, so that makes this one extra embarrassing 😅.

Here are some things I’m doing to make it right:

• I added an additional layer of checks on my puzzle review tools. This should fix the edge case that allowed an unsolvable puzzle to slip through.

• I will be pushing an update later this week that will recall the unsolvable puzzle, if you happened to have downloaded it, so you can play the updated, solvable puzzle that replaced it.

• With the next update, I’ll be giving out a bonus pack of Bolts for free. Keep a look out for an announcement later this week.
